Dr. Lauren Garcia-Ochoa
Dr. Lauren Garcia-Ochoa is a general dentist at Amaze Dental who combines her love of science, creativity, and connecting with others to provide thoughtful, personalized dental care. She first became interested in dentistry while in college, realizing it was a career that brought together her passion for biology and art with her desire to work with her hands and build meaningful relationships with patients.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Originally from Corpus Christi, Dr. Garcia-Ochoa attended Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi before earning her dental degree from UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. Since then, she has developed experience across a wide range of general dentistry services, including restorative dentistry, composite fillings, crowns and bridges, complete and partial dentures, extractions, clear aligner therapy, and endodontic treatment.
Dr. Garcia-Ochoa is committed to continually advancing her knowledge so she can provide her patients with comprehensive, high-quality care. Her continuing education includes Dawson Academy’s Core 1: Occlusion and Smile Design, Invisalign certification, and advanced endodontic education through Dr. Sonia Chopra’s E-School. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
For Dr. Garcia-Ochoa, dentistry is about more than addressing an immediate dental concern. She values getting to know her patients, understanding their individual needs, and helping them achieve healthy, functional smiles they can feel confident about.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Garcia-Ochoa enjoys traveling, discovering great food, listening to music, and gardening. At home, she loves spending time with her husband and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Leia.
